We will explore the exhibition with recent works by the Austrian artist at the new location of FOTO ARSENAL WIEN. Which pictures do we keep, and which ones do we have trouble forgetting? Simon Lehner (b. 1996) explores questions of individual and collective memory. Through photography, contexts are transferred to sculptures, videos, and other structures.
Starting with one photograph, we will attempt to translate it into another dimension with the children in the exhibition: striking attitudes and poses, grouping our bodies into ephemeral sculptures, and capturing them in photographs.The exhibition visit will be topped off with a fun activity that encourages the children to actively understand and reflect on their own use of media: we will work interactively with our own smartphones in the gallery.
